Day 4 - Saraburi to Khon Kean

Woke up 0700hr to a very cool morning. I think it's about 18 degrees celcius. It's time to go visit those sunflower fields!

Just after riding for a short while, Jimmy decided that it was too cold and he needed to put on his raincoat as a windbreaker.

We ride about 40km out of town to Amphoe Phatthana Nikhom to see the Sunflower fields. Some of these flowers were even taller than us. Special thanks to Gary Yeo for this introduction. Very nice indeed.

After the visit to the sunflowers, Jimmy's bike started acting funny. It can't really idle properly. Maybe it's not used to the gasohol or the higher altitude or maybe the carburettor needs some servicing. Luckily it can still be ridden without much issue. So we decide to ride to the next big town to get his bike serviced.

At the next petrol stop at Lam Sonthi (100km from the sunflowers), his bike is ok again. Weird. We shall continue to monitor it.

We arrived at Khon Kean at about 1900hr and checked in to KK centrum hotel for 650B a night. I've stayed here before and it's one of the best value for money place to stay u town.

We quickly took our baths and went out to Tontan green market to have our dinner and do some shopping. The weather is about 15 degrees celcius and Jimmy was freezing.

At about 2200hr, we went to Sangjan country pub for some live band entertainment and called it a night at 0100hr.
