Day 8 - Rest day at Pakxan

Woke up at 0930hr to another cool morning. We had decided to stay another day at Pakxan.

It's time to do some minor servicing on my bike. The bike is still running strong. I only needed to top up some engine oil and apply some chain lube. My speedometer is beyond repair as the cable had snapped.

I also managed to do all my laundry. In this cold weather, taking a bath and doing the laundry is really a chore. My bike was instantly transformed into a clothing rack to dry my laundry.

For lunch, we walked about 1km out to the local market to explore abit

We also paid a visit to the local temple.

I realised that my appetite had increased a lot. Managed to chow down 1 baguette, some fried snacks and a big bowl of beef noodles. And I was still hungry. I think I'm getting bored of noodles too.

Got tired of walking around on foot so we returned to the guesthouse to play with the birds and to catch an afternoon nap.
Totally relaxed day.

Dinner was an assortment of BBQ meats settled at the market. We finally managed to finish the bottle of Sang Som rum that I had been carrying with me since Kanchanaburi.

I definately had enough of Pakxan and won't be back for a long long time. Boring place..
