Day 7 - Vientiane to Pakxan

Woke up very late today about 1100hrs even though we went to bed around 0100hr. Vientiane has proven itself to be a boring place again.

Breakfast was a big bowl of steaming hot beef kuey teow. It's good.

After breakfast, we geared up and check out of the hotel. I forgot to undo my lock and it snapped. Luckily there was no damage to my bike.

We went to Patoxay park and to the golden stupa for some pictures before heading out of Vientiane.

About 20km out of Vientiane, I lost my speedometer again. My temporary fix lasted only 1000km. I decided to ignore it and ride on.

The road was suprisingly nice and we were able to maintain an average speed of 70-80kmh. I noticed that some of the bigger vehicles are driving like hooligans and bullying the smaller vehicles. We better be more vigilant.

After about 90km, we stopped for a rest outside a school. While we were there, a dog got hit by a car driving pass at high speed. The bastard driver didn't even slow down. 

After about 150km, we reached Pakxan town and checked in to XXX hotel for 80,000kip a night. Nice and quiet place. 

After unloading our stuff, we went for a ride around town to check things out. Pakxan is a really boring town.

Dinner was settled at the market. Jimmy is quite bored of eating noodles already. Haha.
