Woke up 0700hr in the morning with a bad tummy ache. Must be all the thrash that I've been having recently.
Started riding at 1130hrs and it's another 200km to Thakhek. The road was bumpy but pretty boring. Not much scenery but we had to watch out for aggressive drivers.
Reached Thakhek town at about 1500hr and we immediately went to look for some real food. Enough of the noodle soup and BBQ meat nonsense..
Booked a room at the Mekong hotel for 100,000kips. Nice hotel overlooking the Mekong River and a magnificent view of the sunset.
Dinner was Thai style Mookata. Good food again. Ordered 2 huge sets meant for 4pax.
Went around town shivering in the freezing cold night to a few of the karaoke joints but was sorely disappointed. Can't even finish our beers and we went back to sleep. Zzz..
